Winter 2024 Fashion Trends You Need To Know

13

Did someone say autumn/winter fashion? Yes, and we are so happy that the best season for fashion has arrived. We certainly enjoyed the sun and petite outfits presented by summer, but winter? Winter is the time to experiment with colours, patterns, and layers, with no limits. Want to pair a little black dress with an oversized sweater and trench? That’s a look! We are so excited to share some of the top trends of winter 2024. Use the following tip to be wardrobe-ready for the colder months!

Skinny jeans & high knee boots

Skinny jeans are back. This is not a drill. Since COVID-19, we seemed to be subdued into the oversized, mom-jean trend which was great and will continue to be. However, the skinny jeans are slowly making its way back into the limelight. Not just any skinny jeans look, however, we are talking about the skinny jeans and high knee boot combo. It is also known as the ‘Elena Gilbert special’ for all of you Vampire Diaries fans out there. This is such a classic look that has been forgotten about, until now. The way it compliments the curves of whoever chooses to wear this look, especially with some knee-high leather boots that slightly protrude out at the top. You might take it a step further and exaggerate your shape with a fitted sweater, scarf, and of course a trench for your day-to-day errand running.

High neck sweaters

Speaking of sweaters, high-neck, second-skin sweaters are going to be essential for this autumn winter. We saw the office siren look come and go quickly, but elements of its influence remain for the ‘professional yet fashionable’ essence of autumn-winter. The turtle neck tends to do the talking, but of course, pairing it with some tailored wide-legged trousers will create a silhouette that will turn heads. Ankle boots are optimal, or if you can brave the cold some ballet pumps will look cute during autumn.

Mini skirts and detailed tights

People tend to steer clear of skirts as we head into winter, but if you are willing to choose fashion over fear of the cold, the mini skirt might just be your best friend. Of course, with some shimmery, opaque black tights to add that extra coverage. Mini skirts and tights need to be in your closet this winter. Bridget jones was doing something right when she was engaging in her ‘award-winning journalism’ in her mini skirt, tights sweater and heels. Because she looked great, she felt great!

Faux fur isn’t leaving

Faux fur is here to stay in 2024. People went crazy for faux fur in 2023, and we are bringing it back with an extra wow factor for 2024. Of course, you should steer clear of real fur manufacturers, and there are so many amazing faux options. We are sticking to short faux fur cut coats, but level up the look with a multi-coloured fur detailing for the extra ‘wild’ look. The block colour furs are of course cute, but the dimension that multi colours create is something that adds an extra touch of luxury.

Full-length leopard print

Leopard print reached its peak in the summer of 2024. As a result of this, she is joining us for winter 2024 in even bigger and better ways. Leopard print coats, wide-legged trousers and heels, the whole lot. If you are truly feeling brave, you can wear leopard print all at once in a true scary spice style. It’s winter after all, you need to layer up, and leopard print will add that extra animalistic warming factor.

Pointed kitten heels

Kitten heels are one of the best things to come out of recent fashion trends. A cute pair of heels that you can wear all day, that won’t make your feet hurt? I’ll take 20. Yes, the kitten heel will also be joining us in winter 2024 are we are so excited to style them. What’s the catch you say? Pointed kitten heels are the go-to look. While you might be skipping on the height of the heel, the point of the heel is adding the missing length for that elegant effect. Paired with some wide legged, long trousers that just allow the pretride of the point to be visible, it’s such a gorgeous look!

Knitted cardigans

Knitted cardigans are the final and most essential autumn-winter piece you should have ready in your closet. Not only can they be styled so beautifully, but they will also add an extra cosy layer to help you fend against the cold. Knitted cardigans in different patterns and fits are available just about everywhere right now, so try to experiment with non-traditional colours. Sure beige and black go with everything but you need to step outside your comfort zone. Try geometric patterns, or even leopard print to combine two trends into one. Whatever you do, don’t be afraid to be bold and wear your autumn-winter looks with confidence!
